Only When I Dance a film by Beadie Finzi

THE VIDA BALLET FUND

The filmmakers of 'Only When I Dance' are proud to announce the launch of the Vida Ballet Fund, to support the work of Centro de Danca Rio in Rio de Janeiro.

Founded in 1973 by ex-ballerina Mariza Estrella, Centro de Danca is one of the most respected ballet schools in Rio, renowned for training the likes of Thiago Soares, leading soloist at London's Royal Ballet. It is the same school that supported the central characters in 'Only When I Dance', Irlan Silva and Isabella Coraci.

The Vida Ballet Fund will provide grants to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds from Rio and the surrounding favelas, who would not otherwise have access to the dance school or an opportunity to pursue dance as a career.

The fund will provide training, offer physiotherapy, costumes, give travel grants for participation in national and international competitions. Please donate whatever you feel you can afford.
